'We're very fortunate,' Clooney said. 'Our kids are growing up on a farm in France, where they can enjoy a relatively simple life. They don't spend hours glued to their iPads; instead, they have dinner with adults and help with household chores. It's a much healthier upbringing.' Clooney continued, 'I was concerned about bringing up our kids in L.A., surrounded by the Hollywood culture. I felt they would be at a disadvantage, constantly scrutinized by the media and compared to other celebrity kids. France, on the other hand, is more laid-back when it comes to fame. I didn't want my children to be constantly worried about paparazzi or feeling like they're living in a fishbowl.' The actor has been promoting his new film, Jay Kelly, where he stars alongside Adam Sandler. At the movie's New York Film Festival premiere, Clooney reflected on the contrast between his own life and that of his character, Jay Kelly, a movie star grappling with self-discovery and regret. 'When I read the script, I realized I knew how to play the character, but I was also relieved that I hadn't lived a life of regret, which is what Jay Kelly is dealing with at 64,' Clooney said. 'I was grateful to have the opportunity to explore this theme, but also thankful that I wasn't actually living that life.'
